The following steps need to be taken to configure your Sonicwall Router to allow multiple IP phones to connect remotely to a SIP based
VoIP Service.
This is similar for older Sonicwall OS versions as well, however the configuration screens will look different, and some options will not be available on older Sonicwalls as well.
- Log into your Sonicwall Router
- Navigate to VoIP -> Settings, and set the options as shown below:

- Navigate to Firewall -> Advanced and set the options as shown below:

- Navigate to Firewall -> Multicast and set the options as shown below:

- Navigate to Firewall -> Access Rules, set the "View Style" as "All Rules":

- Click "Add..." To add a new Access Rule, set the settings for "General" as shown below (Do not click Add yet until instructed to do so):

- Click on the "Advanced" tab, set the UDP Connection Inactivity Timeout to 120

- Click on the "QoS" tab, set DSCP Marking Action to "Explicit" and the Value to "1" - Click Add

- Click "Add..." To add a new Access Rule, set the settings for "General" as shown below, however for the Service -> Select "Create new service" - (See step 10 for those settings)

- Create the rule with these settings:
- Ensure that the rule is filled out with the options as shown below:
- Click on the "Advanced" tab, set the UDP Connection Inactivity Timeout to 120
