Record a WAV file over the phone and then download it!

I've found myself needing to record a wav file for various reasons and can never find an easy way to do it. I've always just made a dialplan on an asterisk box and routed calls to it, then SCP'ed it to my local computer to upload or do whatever with.

So, I thought I would just make this and publish the number for other people to use if they want to.

You can of course also create the unusually commonly requested blank WAV file by just muting your phone when you call.

To record a WAV file over the phone, just call 1-203-403-9134 and start talking after you hear the beep. After 2 seconds of silence or pressing #, the recording will stop and the URL to download the file will be read back to you.

The WAV file will stick around for about 24 hours.
